Unidata Program Center Announcement
Special LDM Training Session
February 3 - 4, 2005

The Unidata Program Center has scheduled a special, invitation-only LDM user-training session for the period of February 3 - 4, 2005. This session will cover LDM site administration with a focus on IDD-Antarctic. Topics will include LDM installation, configuration, tuning, and maintenance.  Also covered will be troubleshooting the LDM and its network connections. Attendees will be expected to have a working knowledge of Unix and Internet networking, including the following:

Note: Workshop material will cover one and one-half days. The afternoon of the second day will be available for whatever people would like to do.

Cost:
There are no registration fees to attend the Training Workshop, however attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, meals, etc.

Acceptance:
Please contact Emily Doremire for details. Enrollment will be limited to 18 people due to available computer equipment.

Location:
The workshop will be held in the COMET Classroom in UCAR's Foothills Lab 2 at 3450 Mitchell Lane, Boulder CO 80301. (Please note that the location has changed from our original plans.). The COMET Classroom occupies rooms FL2 1023 and 1024, directly behind the FL2 reception desk. Map

Time:
Thursday: 8:30 am - 5 pm
Friday: 8:30 - ? Class material typically lasts a half day, with the afternoon available for whatever attendees need help with.

Attendees are responsible for their own travel reservations and costs. Please see our travel web pages for local hotels and other useful information.
