Accommodations:
Guests will be staying at the Williams Village Dormitory on the University of Colorado campus.
This facility is run by a combination of staff and students as a community service and as a learning experience.

We hope that everyone will be able to get a special room with a private bath, although some guests may get standard rooms with shared bathrooms down the hall. (Our group may exceed the number of special rooms available). These are dormitory style rooms--twin beds, no TVs, no laundry, no wake up calls.  Guests may use their calling cards for long distance calls and may use the phone lines as internet connections providing they are able to dial in to a non-long distance number.  There is no smoking in the Williams Village Dormitory.  Guests may check in at the Darley Commons building on June 22nd from 9 am to midnight. Guests arriving on other days will be able to check in after 3pm.  Check-out is extended to 4 pm on the 27th only so guests will not have to tote their luggage to the workshop.

Meals:
CU Housing will provide breakfast on the 23rd - 27th. We are planning a reception with hors d'oeuvres and drinks on the 22nd at CU.   The reception will be located in the grassy area outside Darley Commons.  UCAR will be catering a dinner at the Mesa Lab on Tuesday and we will arrange to have a tour as well. CU will cater a picnic on Wednesday at the Flagstaff Mountain park/amphitheater.  We have arranged a naturalist talk for this event. Lunch during the meeting will be provided at the Foothills 2 cafeteria.  Guests will be on their own to explore Boulder restaurants for Monday and Thursday's dinners.

Meeting Rooms:
The workshop will be hosted at UCAR's Foothills Lab, building 2 at 3450 Mitchell Lane.  We have reserved various meeting rooms and guests will be greeted in the Foothills 2 lobby and directed to the correct rooms.

Transportation:
We will use CU buses each day for transportation to and from Williams Village and the Foothills Campus.  Buses will make a run each morning and evening.  Buses will depart CU Housing at 8 am each morning and will depart from the workshop each evening at 4:30.  We will also have the buses stop by CU Housing before the dinners so guests can freshen up.

Parking:
Guests bringing cars may arrange for parking permits from CU Housing upon check in.  Guests may park at the UCAR Foothills Campus at no charge.

Cost:
Most travel costs will be covered by UCAR Unidata, though funding by the NSF, and UCAR COMET, though funding by the NWS.  Generally, guests from the university and educational community will pay a registration fee, their airfare (or other means of travel) to Boulder, and any ground transportation in order to get here.  UCAR will then pay for lodging, daily transportation to the meeting, breakfasts, lunches, daily refreshments, and two dinners.  Guests who are federal government employees (such as those from NOAA, NSF, NASA, etc.) and guests from for profit companies will be billed for registration, lodging, transportation, and meals and may then apply for reimbursement according to the rules of their institution.  (UCAR is unable to pay travel for groups that we receive funding from and for for-profit businesses.)  Speakers and Unidata's Users Committee will have their travel paid in full.

Personal Guests:
We are able to accommodate a modest number of personal guests accompanying meeting attendees. We welcome your children, but must ask that they always be escorted by a parent at UCAR events, at CU Housing, on the CU campus, and on CU buses.

A limited number of double apartments are available and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. You should be aware that CU Housing charges for each guest in a room (unlike a hotel where additional occupants are rarely charged or are charged a very small fee.)  These charges are outlined in the registration system.   Should you wish to bring more than 3 family members or guests, we must ask you to make your own reservations as CU Housing cannot accommodate groups larger than four.

If you would like to have your personal guests join you for breakfast in CU's dining hall, you may purchase breakfasts for them. CU catering is unable to offer breakfasts without advance notice, so please purchase breakfasts on the registration form if you plan to have your personal guests join you.

Your personal guests are welcome to attend our opening reception on the 22nd, the Mesa Lab dinner and tour on the 24th, and the Flagstaff mountain dinner on the 25th. Please indicate the number of additional guests; costs for each activity are listed in the registration system.
