| NetCDF Development Snapshots |
| Development snapshots allow advanced users to see
features under active development. The feedback from such users
is extremely helpful to netCDF developers. WARNING: Development
snapshots are experimental. They should not be used for
production systems, nor to create archives; their files may not
be readable to future releases; they may not smoothly install on
the full set of supported netCDF platforms. |

NetCDF snapshots allow developers of explore the
new features of NetCDF as they are developed. If built with
--enable-netcdf-4, the snapshot release requires HDF5 and
zlib.
