How to Ingest and Display Model Output in McIDAS

Remote/Local Server Access

McIDAS utilizes the ADDE server technology to access datasets.

The ADDE server can be running locally or remotely.

GRIB1 and GRIB2 are supported for remote access.

The example below illustrates REMOTE access to an ADDE server maintained by Unidata/UCAR located at the National Science Foundation.

Server address is indicated as "ADDE.CISE-NSF.GOV"

Dataset Names of Type = GRID

Group = RTGRIBS
