NOAAPORT NEXRAD (NNEXRAD)

NOAAPORT radar data, sent without encryption beginning on January 10, 2001.

The subset of data broadcast from 154 radar sites on NOAAPORT includes the following 15 products, (where the initial AFOS PIL code at the end of the product ID for station xxx is given and (P) indicates precip products that are only sent when in precip mode):

• N0Rxxx: base reflectivity, 124 nmi range, 0.50 degree elevation angle
• N0Vxxx: base radial velocity, 124 nmi range, 0.50 degree elevation angle
• NCRxxx: composite reflectivity, 16 levels, 125 nmi range
• NVLxxx: vertically integrated liquid (P)
• N0Sxxx: storm-relative mean radial velocity (P)
• NTPxxx: storm total precip accumulation
• N1Rxxx: base reflectivity, 124 nmi range, 1.45/1.5 degrees elevation angle
• N2Rxxx: base reflectivity, 124 nmi range, 2.40/2.50 degrees elevation angle
• N3Rxxx: base reflectivity, 124 nmi range, 3.35/3.50 degrees elevation angle
• N0Zxxx: base reflectivity, 248 nmi range, 0.50 degree elevation angle
• N1Vxxx: base radial, 124 nmi range, 1.45/1.50 degrees elevation angle
• NETxxx: echo tops (P)
• N1Sxxx: storm relative mean radial velocity, 1.45 degrees elevation angle (P)
• N2Sxxx: storm relative mean radial velocity, 2.40 degrees elevation angle (P)
• N1Pxxx: surface rainfall accumulation, one hour running total (P)
