Unidata tools and data are used in a number of community member's web sites for scientific and research purposes. Periodically we highlight a different web site from a member university or institute that is using Unidata tools and data.
The Ohio State University Weather Server
The Ohio State University WWW weather server is internationally recognized source for weather data and imagery. The information used on this web site is generated from data delievered via Unidata's IDD/LDM and visualized using Unidata's GEMPAK package. The weather server was developed and is maintained by The Ohio State University Atmospheric Sciences Program (ASP) in the Department of Geography, which specializes in the fields of polar meteorology, tropical meteorology, atmospheric dynamics, numerical modeling, synoptic meteorology, atmospheric radiation, boundary layer processes, and forecasting.
