AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR DIRECT REAL-TIME ACCESS TO WSR-88D WIDEBAND
DATA (BASE DATA) BY UNIVERSITIES
Change C., 2 under Section III. RESPONSIBILITIES to read:
In consideration of the NWS' obligations under the NIDS agreements and of
preserving the NIDS network until WSR-88D wideband data are available on
an operational basis, these data and products developed from such data
may not be redistributed in a way that results in competition with the
NIDS providers. The user may redistribute wideband data and products
developed from that data only to organizations or individuals engaged
in research and/or educational activities that are identified in writing
to the NWS. Written identification must be made before any real-time
distribution of wideband data or products developed from that data is made
and such distribution is subject to NWS concurrence. Organizations or
individual receiving wideband data from the users are subject to the same
restrictions as the users regarding redistribution that results in
competition with the NIDS providers.
